How to practise conjugation effectively
Short daily sessions beat long weekly ones. Research on the spacing effect, going back to Hermann Ebbinghaus, shows that reviewing just before you would forget makes memories last far longer than cramming. That’s why missed forms return a few cards later.
Start with the present tense of the ten most frequent verbs, then add one tense at a time. When the regular endings feel automatic, switch on Irregular forms only: those are the forms that the tables mark with dark tiles, and they are where most mistakes happen.
FAQ
How does the practice mode choose questions?
It picks a random verb, tense and person from the 60 most frequent verbs of the language you choose. Forms you get wrong are put back in the queue and come up again sooner, so weak spots get more practice.
Do I have to type accents?
Use the accent buttons under the answer box, or turn on “Forgive accents” to accept answers without them. You will still see the correctly accented form after each answer.
