Condicional simple Conditional

| tú | |
| él/ella/usted | |

ending regular · irr breaks the pattern · tap a form to hear it
When to use the conditional
The conditional (condicional simple) says what would happen, makes polite requests (“¿Podría ayudarme?”) and, with the imperfect subjunctive, builds “if” sentences: “Si tuviera tiempo, viajaría.”
How it is formed
Add ía, ías, ía, íamos, íais, ían to the infinitive. The irregular stems are exactly the same as in the future (tendr-, har-, dir-, podr-…).
Correr is regular here, so it is a good model for other verbs of the same class.
Correr in a sentence
- Corro cinco kilómetros cada mañana.I run five kilometers every morning.
- Corrimos para no perder el autobús.We ran so as not to miss the bus.
Regular -er verb; also used in 'correr riesgo' (to run a risk).
